The Domicilo Living Founder 

Mihai Maciuca was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, under the shadow of Ceausescu’s regime. Despite the challenges of growing up during a tumultuous time in Romanian history, his parents instilled in Mihai the value of education and the importance of striving for a better future. As such, when it came to choosing a career path, he was drawn to the world of entrepreneurship and won a scholarship to London’s University of Westminster to study for a degree in business.

Straight after graduation, Mihai started at DTZ Investors in London, where he gained invaluable experience in maximizing income and understanding liquidity perspectives. He then worked on a variety of commercial projects, including managing high-end projects in Romania, such as the prestigious Stejarii Collection in Bucharest. It was during this time that Mihai first discovered his passion for design and architecture. Driven by this, he joined AXA Group in South Africa, where he played a pivotal role in establishing a real estate division and expanding operations into Cape Town.

Between 2006 and 2021 (15 years), Mihai explored various business opportunities while traveling across Europe, South America, and North America. It was during this time that he developed the idea to form a London agency, exclusively representing Italian brands all under one roof. As the official representative and exclusive agent of brands such as Scavolini, Glass1989, and ArlexItalia, Mihai generated a turnover of almost £8 million in sales up to 2020.

In response to the pandemic, Mihai saw an opportunity to evolve his business. The result was Domicilio Living, which offers bespoke interior design and comprehensive architecture services for residential and commercial spaces. Domicilio Living is also the exclusive representative of a curated range of premium Italian brands including Pedini, Casa Bath, Ditre Italia, Pietrelli Porte, Glass1989, ArlexItalia, Sforzini Illuminazione, Marazzi, Mottura, IPF Flooring, Berti Pavimenti, Signature Kitchen Suite, Villeroy & Boch, and Carisa Radiators.

Mihai has also opened a Domicilio Living show home, a duplex apartment incorporating all the brands. It is available by appointment for developers, interior designers, and architects to view the latest collections. Under Mihai’s tenure as CEO, Domicilio Living has established itself as a leading company in the industry, with a focus on delivering excellence and innovation in every project undertaken.
